Producer Notes:
More music is being created now than ever before, which makes it more difficult to find the hidden gems. UTR loves being a trusted voice as we find the true cream that rises to the top. Some of these artists were listener recommendations; some were suggested by other recording artists; and some still simply introduced themselves to us. Between this week and next, we present DIY artists that are worth paying attention to. I'm especially excited to share the music of Jess Ray for the first time, someone who turned a LOT of heads (mine included) when she shared the stage with Christa Wells at Escape To The Lake 2015. And if you (or someone you know) is a do-it-yourself musician, then you'll enjoy the never-before-heard interview clips from established artists Christopher Williams, Jessica Campbell, Vanita Joines, and Grammy winner Mike Farris, who share some helpful tips for up-and-comers. If any (even one) of these new-to-us artists really caught you by surprise, we'd love to know about it! (Dave)
What a fantastic album… I especially appreciated Joel Ansett’s song! I would love to hear more of his music, what a wordsmith!
