UTR’s Huge Music Event for Summer 2013
Imagine yourself at a gathering with folks who understand your unique love of well-crafted music. There are lots of friendly people around, but it's also small enough that you'll likely make dozens of new friends. You get to hear some of today's most critically-acclaimed songwriters perform under the stars. You get to enjoy the beauty of nature and can hang out on a private beach. You find yourself sharing a laugh, a coffee, a handshake, and a conversation with amazing musicians. UTR will be making this dream a reality!
It is our honor to announce our most ambitous event to date... UTR's Escape To The Lake!
Dave has been dreaming of doing a festival event for 3+ years. We have also received listener feedback in 3 different years that tells us a music fest or conference or gathering is one of the top 3 most cited dreams within our community. This is the year we are implementing that vision.
We invite you to join us July 4-7, 2013 at Conference Point Center, a 21-acre peninsula on beautiful Geneva Lake in Wisconsin. We will be taking in some world-class live performances on an outdoor stage. Also, we'll be offering breakout sessions that include artist Q&A's, a game show, songwriting panel, art workshop, devotions, & impromptu stuff (like campfire singalongs). The grounds will let you escape from the hustle of life and enjoy nature and outdoor activities like swimming, private beach, hiking, biking, rock wall, tennis, volleyball, & a zip line.
Here are the event basics:

The Lake Geneva, WI area is less than 90 minutes from Chicago, Milwaukee, Rockford, and Madison -- so there are several airport options for those who will be flying in. The average registration will be under $250 (and kids 4-12 will be on average under $150) -- that price will include everything in the "specials feature" list, indoor lodging for 3 nights, all meals, and many campgrounds activities. [Some premium activities like rock wall, zip line, tubing, etc will be available for a low ala carte price.]
More information and a more detailed schedule will be coming soon. We hope to have a couple of late additions to our artist roster as well. A more detailed event website will be on the way in the next 2-3 weeks. Registration will officially begin the 2nd half of March.
